The local branch of Minster Cleaning was established in September 2003, and the current franchisee has been with us since 2014.

Swansea is a coastal city and is found along Swansea Bay in southwest Wales. It is the second largest city in Wales.

Swansea has a rich history dating back to the Palaeolithic period. Swansea Castle is a prominent feature, which was built circa 1106. During the industrial revolution in the early 1700s, Swansea was the world’s leading copper-smelting area until the decline of the industry in the late 1800s.

Swansea has various factors that contribute to its economic activity.

Services – The economy in Swansea is dominated by the service sector, including public administration, education and health. This sector contributes to 38% of jobs in the area.

Retail and Tourism – Swansea is a popular shopping destination for southwest Wales. Tourism is a strong sector here, due to the cultural diversity, natural attractions and the growing number of visitors to the city.

Technology, life sciences and professional services – These are showing notable growth in Swansea. Work is being done to attract investment in these areas.

Education – Swansea University has a campus overlooking Swansea Bay and opened a new campus in the Jersey Marine area of Swansea is 2015. Swansea University’s medical school was ranked as the third best medical school in the United Kingdom in 2017. The oldest school in Swansea was founded in 1682, and there are numerous schools that teach using the Welsh language.

Swansea is also home to the DVLA headquarters which employs around 6000 people.
