Minster Cleaning is proudly celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2022. Minster Cleaning started its journey back in 1982, when Alan Haigh, Founder and Chairman, set up the very first branch in Birmingham.
Alan knew that to successfully grow the office cleaning business he needed to deliver excellent service and value for money. He therefore ensured the following service foundations were in place right from the start.
Reliability. Alan understood the importance of turning up as promised to clean customer premises. He was therefore as meticulous about managing cover for sickness and absence as he was about office cleaning standards.
Consistency. Processes and monitoring systems were established at the outset to ensure cleaning was carried out to the same exacting standards on every visit.
Trust was also paramount. Most customers required out of hours cleaning and Alan implemented rigorous recruitment policies to help safeguard their staff, property and premises. By the late 1980’s, over 100 banks and building societies in the West Midlands trusted Minster Cleaning to clean their premises.
Support. Alan ensured that all cleaners understood just how important it was that visitors and staff walked into an environment that was clean and smelled pleasantly fresh. Furthermore, he ensured that they were supported by dedicated field and office teams, leaving customers free to focus on their day-to-day business with the confidence that the office cleaning was in capable hands.
