Minster Oxford have had recent changes to their team members:
Lorna – Operations Director
Following a successful career as a Strategy Manager in the recruitment industry, Lorna joined Minster in January 2013 as Operations Director tasked with growing and developing the business. With a passion for sales and management, Lorna is focused on customer care and ensuring that our clients, staff and suppliers have an excellent experience whilst dealing with our business. With a hands-on approach to management, she drives the business forward through various motivational techniques and open thinking.
Sophie – Senior Commercial Manager, Swindon West
Sophie came to Minster from the recruitment industry in April 2013 having had a strong background in managing a multi-contract area. Her dedication to the remit and her clients is second to none. Sophie is pro-active, highly organised and a strong relationship builder with both her clients and her staff. The area has grown from strength to strength since her joining and the majority of this has been through customer referral.
Jeannie – Commercial Manager – Oxford South
Jeannie started working for our business in March 2016 having previously been a National Account Manager for a large food produce company. She has a wealth of knowledge in Account Management superseding client expectation. Her standards are always high and this is demonstrated in the way she recruits cleaners into her team. Her dedication to her role is evident and she regularly goes that extra mile to ensure that a job is done well.
Dawn – Commercial Manager – Swindon East
Dawn joined the Minster team in January 2018 following a hugely successful career in the cleaning industry as an Area Manager over a circa 16-year period. Dawn has a wealth of knowledge surrounding cleaning materials and techniques and is our “go to person” when it comes to problematic areas or unique cleaning queries. Dawn runs a tight ship and ensures that her cleaners perform to their maximum ability and in line with our SLAs.
Erlon – Commercial Manager – Oxford North
Erlon started working for Minster in July of 2016 as a cleaner at one of our sites in Oxford. He was recognised by our clients as someone who delivered outstanding cleaning and regularly went the extra mile whilst wearing the Minster Brand. In March of 2017, Erlon was promoted to cleaning supervisor where he oversaw cleaning staff and covered holidays for us. In March of 2018, Erlon became a Commercial Manager of our Oxford North area and is now in the process of growing and developing this geographical area through referral sales.
Abigail – Senior Administrator
Abbie joined our team in March of 2017 as an Administrator, having previously worked in the administrative team for the NEW Devon CCG, NHS Trust. With a wealth of experience and an NVQ Diploma in Business, Abbie brings to the team outstanding organisational skills as well as excellent IT skills. Abbie was promoted to Senior Administrator in December of 2017 when it was identified that she was more than capable of running our payroll and invoicing functions as well as running our basic office procedures.
Sian – Administration Assistant
Sian started working for Minster in January of 2018, when she joined us as an Administrator to add support to our office function. She is responsible for managing several of our processes including our EziTracker system and our internal audit process. Sian delivers loyalty, passion and drive and is key to our business.
Arthur – Franchise Owner
Mitch trained as a Mechanical Engineer in his early career, followed by a period in public sector human resource management. He then took roles in the administration of one of the UK’s most successful financial organisations, including warehousing, logistics, communication, print and consultancy. In 1991, he was instrumental in developing, and became a principle shareholder of, a new facilities company, FM2. After a very successful period acquiring some of the world’s largest companies as clients, FM2 was bought in 1995 by Honeywell, the American control company. Arthur continues to bring his commercial, financial and process skills to the benefit of our business.
Judith – Company Secretary
Jude spent almost all of her working life with one of the major high street banks before becoming Company Secretary for Minster Cleaning Services. Wrestling with a high pressure job and bringing up a family with great success, she has developed those essential organisational skills, time management and attention to detail that adds so much value to our business.
In other news Oxford Golf Club has welcome 70 new members in the past year which has increased its membership to 500. The club aim to increase this figure to 20% by 2020. The club boasts being Oxford’s oldest golf course, which began as the Oxford University Golf Club on the site in 1875 (Source: Oxford Mail).
