Commercial cleaners, MCS Sussex are upgrading their payroll system to comply with new HMRC requirements to itemise payslip information to include the actual number of hours worked. Branch Administrator Hayden S commented that, with almost two hundred cleaning staff on the payroll each year we have always made it a priority to clearly set out the number of shifts worked, as well as any overtime on payslips and that the new stipulation to show the quantity of hours would take quite a lot of time to set up initially, but that the Sage Payroll software used – for which the company subscribe to the latest version, should easily be able to cope. We also benefit from full software support from the supplier so hopefully the process should be straight-forward.
In other news, three mothers have raised thousands of pounds to rennovate a derelict playground. Savings were made over the course of three years and the New Bevendean playground has officially opened this weekend. (Source: The Argus)
