The Hertfordshire branch have won a new commercial cleaning contract to clean the laboratories of a charitable research foundation establishment. We now have a few laboratory cleaning contracts at various establishments across Hertfordshire.
In other news; More than 15,000 poppies have been handmade to cascade down the side of Hertford Castle in commemoration of the centenary of World War One. The Secret Society of Hertford Crafters, or SSOHC, has joined together with care homes, primary schools and craft groups to knit, crochet and craft more than 15,000 poppies. The poppies have been sewn securely to seven camouflage nets donated by the army which measure in at 120 square metres. The 1,900 hours’ worth of work was unveiled on Saturday, October 27, by Colonel Kevin Fitzgerald, Hertfordshire President of The Royal British Legion. (Source: Hertfordshire Mercury 30-10-18)
