On Friday 8th June, Ian Handy, Sales Director for Minster Liverpool, completed a One Mile swim in Lake Windermere as part of the Great North Swim 2018 event.
In doing so, Ian raised just over £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Ian commented, “This charity is very close to my heart and delivers incredible support to people during the most difficult of times. So, putting myself through the trials and tribulations of training and then throwing myself into Windermere was worth it to raise funds.”
A Liverpool council planning meeting will be discussing many plans to transform and potentially change Liverpool. These include a new Signature Living’s latest venture to renovate Kingsway House, longer term solutions for the city’s homelessness such as creating a permanent shelter and support centre, more student housing, new housing in Kirkdale and a new care hub in Speke specifically for dementia sufferers (Source: Liverpool Echo)
