Surgery turns to Minster Cleaning Services for Technical Assistance

A large Walsall based Medical Centre recently turned to Minster Cleaning Services for some technical assistance.
The Wolverhampton and Walsall branch of Minster Cleaning Services met with the client and indentified that, whilst their cleaning team were generally good, they were not fully meeting the requirements of the National Specification for Cleanliness in the NHS : Guidance on setting and measuring performance outcomes in primary care medical and dental premises.
This led to the branch being appointed, on a consultancy basis, to prepare cleaning plans, training documents and monitoring systems.
Branch director Kevin Jones said, "we are aware that many medical practices, in their preparation for CQC registration, are reviewing their cleaning team and are finding that, whilst they are fulfilling the domestic need, there is sometimes some level of detail lacking in areas such as infection audits, infection control and monitoring.
Many surgeries like and have an affinity with their directly employed cleaning team and do not wish to transfer the function to a specialist contractor such as Minster Cleaning Services.
As a branch we have many years of experience cleaning and monitoring Primary Care Medical and Dental Practices and, on a fee or retainer basis we are able to not only prepare all of the relevant documentation, conduct training and carry out third party audits, but also provide cover when a member of the regular team is away on authorised absence.
We do not know of any other contract cleaning company that offers such an extensive range of services to the medical profession".
