Monday 16th April 2012 3:09 PM

The Birmingham and Black Country branch of Minster Cleaning Services, following a period of assessment and training, have been approved as applicators and instructors for the Max Germ Guard range of products.
This qualification is an important step in the branch's aim to offer a total package of infection control measures to their clients.
Using the Max Germ Guard range of products now means that the branch can coat any surface (hard or fabric) with a nano antimicrobial layer. This layer will have a life of up to 12 months and instantly kills, at source, the majority of bacterial and viral forms including: Gram-Positive Bacteria, Fungi, Gram-Negative Bacteria, Algaes, Yeasts and Viruses.
Once applied the branch issue a certificate of application that the client can display firstly, to build site user confidence and secondly, to use as evidence when being audited by bodies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) or other professional assessors.
The product is ideal for nurseries, care homes, surgeries and all regular contact areas in offices and commercial premises.

MCS in Beverley receive SAFEcontractor accreditation renewal
Friday 13th April 2012 4:20 PM

Minster Cleaning Services in Beverley have received accreditation renewal from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK contractors.
The company's audit for renewal of the SAFEcontractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business. John Kinge, Head of Risk at SAFEcontractor said, "Major organisations can no longer run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies." Under the SAFEcontractor system, businesses undergo a vetting process, which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users only via a website, www.safecontractor.com.
